Cowon has unveiled a new portable media player (PMP) with a 3D screen that won't require users to wear bulky glasses.
The Cowon 3D PMP device comes with 3D screen technology similar to the one used by Nintendo to develop the upcoming 3DS hand-held gaming device.
The device, which will come with high definition and Wi-Fi capabilities, offers a 4.8 inch 800x600 LCD display, dual web browser, HDMI support, in-built speakers and memory up to 64 GB.
Cowon 3D will also come with a music player, a video player, Flash support, voice recording capabilities and a document viewer.
According to Cowon, the device will be launched in South Korea on 10 December, with the 32GB version priced at 499,000 won (£276) and 64 GB version going for 589,000 won (£326).
The company is behind some of the best-selling PMP and MP3 players in the region, like the X7 and iAudio E2, rivalling Apple's own products. Cowon also makes the JetAudio music software.
