Google Releases Official Android App For Reader

Search engine giant Google has released an official Google Reader app for its Android mobile operating system.

The company explained in a blog post, that the Google Reader for Android application will come with all the usual features expected in an RSS reader, such as unread counts, friends, sharing, liking and starring.

The app will also come with multiple accounts, synchronising preferences, subscription features and a search function. Google explained that users will be able to switch between the next and the previous articles by using the volume keys.

By long-pressing on a subscription or a folder, users will be able to rename, change and unsubscribe folders.

“If you hit the menu key on an individual item, you can use the “send” feature which integrates with other apps on your phone to send the item using any 3rd party app,” Google informed.
