Video : Sony Ericsson Playstation Phone Appears In Greece

The gaming phone that Sony Ericsson has been rumoured to build has surfaced in Greece.

Codenamed Zeus, it is said to offer something between the Playstation Portable (which is in effect an untethered Playstation 2) and a big screen smartphone like the X10.

Techblog.gr (opens in new tab) managed to grab the phone and make a short video of it, one that shows that it is indeed the real thing, a smartphone that may be called the Z1.

Although the reviewer doesn't actually pulls out the phone's joypad, it appears to run Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread) while its large screen, possibly a 4-inch model, offers surprisingly good touchscreen capabilities.

Snaps of the device had already been leaked on the internet but none appear as convincing as the video.

Unfortunately, we still don't know much about the rest, from the release date of the device to its price and whether it will have a dedicated, proprietary gaming ecosystem.
