Playstation mobile phone caught on video

Mobile phone manufacturer Sony Ericsson has had its much-rumoured Playstation handset leaked, only now on video and not in any unsubstantiated images.

The reportedly soon-to-be-released Sony Ericsson phone has the controllers of a game console, whilst also the full functionality of a touch screen mobile and runs the Android ‘Gingerbread' 2.3 OS.

SE has yet to confirm the handset exists although One Mobile Ring has had personal confirmation of the phone's existence, with the video firmly establishing the phone is now real where images in the past have been dubious to say the least.

The video below shows the physical handset, which has a casing and buttons not to dissimilar to the Sony Ericsson Vivaz and the familiar interface of the Google mobile operating system. The footage goes on to establish the phone's code name of Zeus, with the slide-out controls that mimic those of a console's gaming rig for the possible playing of PSP games via the handset.

No dates have been given as to when the phone might arrive, nor have there been any word from Sony Ericsson as to its full functionality - although we suspect a 4-inch screen, a high megapixel camera and an online gaming portal full of titles when launched.
