Online Retailer Slashes Price Of 50-inch 3D Plasma Screen To £770

Another hint that 3D television sets are not selling as well as manufacturers might have wished for; Richersounds is selling the Samsung PS50C680 3D plasma set with a pair of 3D glasses and four 3D blu-ray Shrek disks for £846.94.

The price (opens in new tab) includes a five year warranty and you can shave an additional tenner if you become a member of Richersounds' V.I.P customer club. The only issue is that you will need to collect the television from one of Richersounds' stores.

The 50-inch screen is great value for money and should be able to hold its own against LCD and LED/LCD television sets. It comes four HDMI ports, 600Hz refresh rate, Internet@TV, full DLNA compatibility, SRS Theatersound.

You also have two USB ports which allows you to connect other storage devices through the television and adds PVR capabilities to the television. Unfortunately, you will still need to pay extra for wireless connectivity and not everyone will like the gloss black with red accents style.
