Apple has released a tool for Mac, allowing anyone to create adverts with the company's iAd platform.
In what is being cited as a major push for Apple's iAd advertising platform, the new iAd Producer for Mac allows users to create advertising content for Apple's iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices.
The company has also included tools within the app that allow developers to preview a simulation of their ads on iOS 4 or an iOS simulator on the Mac.
Apple used to create all ads for the iOS advertising platform itself, which drastically slowed the whole process of content creation. This resulted in a number cancelled contracts from a variety of companies. Most notable was Adidas, which pulled out of a $10 million iAd campaign with Apple.
