Game publisher Square Enix has launched the iOS version of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, by constructing a giant mock-up of Apple's iPhone
According to Pocket-Lint, The giant iPhone was constructed using 56 iPad devices for its display and was set-up at London's St Pancras railway station.
The company marked the launch of the game by distributing the iPads used for the display to lucky commuters. The devices came pre-loaded with the game.
Commenting on the launch gimmick, Crystal Dynamics' studio head Darrell Gallagher said in a statement: “Gaming on the move is a fantastic way to keep entertained on those long winter commutes. And with temperatures in the UK set to drop again this week, people need this today more than ever.”
The iOS version of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is available on the Apple App Store and is retailing for £3.99 for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This version is also compatible with the iPad.
