Apple have released a new update to their Remote application, adding a number of new features to the tool.
PC World reports that Remote 2.1 has added AirPlay support, Internet radio functionality and the ability to control iTunes on a computer via an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad
With the improvements users can now able to stream videos from a Mac to an Apple TV device and can use an iOS device to control rented iTunes store content on computer-based versions iTunes.
Version 2.1 has also addressed issues experienced when connecting to the iTunes library or Apple TV, as well as improving the stability of the app.
Remote 2.1 is now available for free from the App store and can be used on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices using iOS 3.1.2 or later.
