HTC's highly awaited HTC 7 Pro smartphone is set for a January 2011 release here in the UK, according to data posted on the website of O2 (Telefonica) Germany.
After missing the Christmas launch date, HTC has reportedly decided to give a New Year's gift to Britons by launching the Windows Phone 7 OS powered device in the country.
According to O2 Germany, the device will be available in Europe in January although an exact launch date and the pricing plans are missing.
The device, which is targeted at business users, comes with the sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 5MP camera with HD video capabilities, full touchscreen abilities and 8GB of internal memory.
HTC is hopping to embrace the enterprise market with the new Windows Phone 7 device and with the familiar Windows interface, it might just succeed in doing exactly that.
The enterprise smartphone market is currently dominated by the BlackBerry, but is fast losing ground to Apple's iPhone and Google Android devices.
