Sony PlayStation mobile gets Xperia branding

Sony Ericsson's much rumoured and leaked upcoming phone has now been captured on film, with new SE branding in place along with an actual PlayStation keypad.

General technology news website Engadget (opens in new tab)has aired images of the yet-to-be-announced Sony Ericsson mobile phone, with the SE Xperia lettering and the keypad of the Sony gaming console - highlighting the handset is even more near completion, with a launch date expected soon.

One Mobile Ring previously published video of the SE mobile phone, which has been rumoured to be able to play games in much the same way as the Sony PSP - whilst being able to perform as a phone. This is the first time there is the complete company branding in place.

The video, along with these new images, confirms the phone runs Android ‘Gingerbread' 2.3 although ‘Honeycomb' 3.0 has also been rumoured, by the time the mobile phone arrives.

There has yet to be any news from Sony Ericsson as to when the SE Xperia PSP will be unveiled, but One Mobile Ring expects the launch will either be this week at Las Vegas' CES or at Barcelona's Mobile World Congress in February.
