Logitech announced today that it has come to an agreement with Spotify to make the popular music-streaming software available on its Squeezebox network music players.
The move means that Squeezebox owners will now be able to access Spotify directly from their Logitech device with a single click, without the need to use a computer or smartphone, The Telegraph reports.
Logitech already holds similar partnerships with other music-streaming companies, such as Pandora and Rhapsody, but this is the first European company it has joined forces with.
To make use of Spotify on the Squeezebox, users must download a new App, currently in beta form, as well as hold a premium subscription with the music-streaming firm.
Romain Du Gardier, senior product manager for Logitech EMEA, stated in a Spotify press release: “Whatever music you like from wherever in the world, Spotify and Squeezebox make it even easier for you to sit back, listen and relax in any room in your home”.
