LG’s dual core Optimus 2X available to pre-order

Popular on-line mobile phone retailer has opened up pre-ordering of the Lucky Goldstar dual-core processor Optimus 2X handset, with a cost just shy of £500.

The world’s first twin-processor LG Optimus 2X is available for £499, SIM free and unlocked with a shipping date attached of February 21st.

The LG-P900 ‘Optimus 2X’ handset is based on the NVIDIA 1Ghz Tegra 2 dual-core processor, with each core having the ability to act independently for faster gaming and Internet access, when needed – all in order to reduce the power consumption, of running both cores.

LG’s Optimus 2X arrives with a 4-inch touch screen, with 8GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, HDMI mirroring and DNLA, along with an 8 megapixel camera that is capable of full HD 1080p video recording and playback.

The mobile is also accompanied by exclusive music by Ennio Morricone, with 10 classics and 15 newly produced pieces that are included in handset – a first for any phone.

The LG Optimus 2X mobile phone was first shown at CES in Las Vegas, where another dual core processor driven mobile phone was announced by Motorola, in the Artix – although no arrived dates or costs have been unveiled as yet.
