Around a third of iPhone users on AT&T are planning to switch to Verizon when it launches its own version, a new survey conducted by ChangeWave has revealed.
ChangeWave surveyed 4,050 people ahead of Verizon's announcement on Tuesday that it would be stocking the CDMA iPhone from February.
The survey revealed that 16 per cent of AT&T subscribers planned on switching to the Verizon iPhone, while 26 per cent of AT&T iPhone users confirmed that they will be switching to the Verizon version, PC Mag reports.
ChangeWave also announced that 41 per cent of AT&T users will switch over to the Verizon iPhone in the next 3 months, while 31 per cent said they would do so next year.
“The deal is expected to shakeup the mobile marketplace as consumers who are either current iPhone subscribers or in the market for one now have the option of choosing a carrier, a choice expected to drive a growing number of mobile users into Verizon’s subscriber base and further increase iPhone device sales,” Sarah Radwanick of comScore wrote in a blog post.
