Oracle is gearing up to release patches to 66 vulnerabilities discovered across hundreds of its products on Tuesday as part of a Critical Patch Update.
In a pre-release announcement posted on the company's website, Oracle said that update will be released on Tuesday January 18th and advised users to install the patches as quickly as possible.
The company also informed that the vulnerabilities found in Oracle Audit Vault, JRockit and WebLogic server in Oracle Fusion Middleware, Solaris in Products Suite, were the most critical. The company additionally admitted that vulnerabilities existed in Oracle Database Server.
“Some of the vulnerabilities addressed in this Critical Patch Update affect multiple products. Due to the threat posed by a successful attack, Oracle strongly recommends that customers apply Critical Patch Update fixes as soon as possible,” the company informed.
The upcoming patch update will not be applicable to client-only installations and is only for software running on Oracle Database Server.
