White BlackBerry Torch coming to Vodafone

Mobile phone network Vodafone has made public the news it will be carrying another BlackBerry 9800 slider Torch handset, in the exclusive colour of white.

The news came from their ‘Coming Soon’ section of the Vodafone website, that usually contains details of upcoming mobile phones that will soon be appearing on the network – which this time around publicised a new colour coming to the RIM device.

Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Touch is usually only found in the colour black on various networks, where the new colour of white will solely appear on Vodafone.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is RIM’s flagship handset and their first slider phone, with a 3.2-inch touch screen and a Qwerty keyboard. The mobile also runs the latest BlackBerry 6 OS, with a 5 megapixel camera and flash, along with 4GB of internal storage whilst shipping with another 4GB in the form of a microSD card.

Vodafone currently carries the standard black coloured BlackBerry Torch on a 24-month contract, starting from £35.75 a month – which is accompanied by 1,000 minutes, unlimited text messages and a 500MB data allowance.

One Mobile Ring believes the white version of the BlackBerry 9800 will mirror the same cost, although we have noticed the America mobile phone network AT&T also carries a red version of the mobile phone that we feel would have been more appropriate for Vodafone.
