Storage services provider EMC has unveiled plans to roll out a range of solutions targeted at small and mid-sized companies.
The company plans to showcase 40 new storage technologies and products at an event in New York City.
According to ZD Net, EMC's soon-to-be-unveiled line-up will also include the new VNXe series of storage systems. The VNXe product line is to be targeted towards small and mid-sized firms and remote offices, and will be available from below $10,000 to $40,000.
Jeremy Burton, chief marketing officer of EMC, said in an interview: “We think we can undercut the competition by 10 per cent to 20 per cent and still give channel partners good margins. All with a storage array that can be managed by a generalist.”
The VNXe systems will be capable of doubling their storage capacity, expanding to 120 drives with a combined storage of 240 TB. The solution will also be able to provide for hundreds of Exchange accounts under 2 minutes.
