Memory solutions provider Kingston has launched a new breed of SD cards, compliant with the new SDHC UHS-I standard, giving them the fastest read-write speeds on the market.
The company said that the new UltimateXX series of SD cards offer three times the speed of the SDHC Class 10 cards. Kingston said that the new memory cards, designed for storing HD video and large photo files, come with a read speed of 60 Mbps and a write speed of 45 Mbps.
However, having such high read-write speeds means that the memory cards will not come with high storage options.
The company is offering the UltimateXX series for £97 for 8GB version, £196 for 16GB version and £392 for 32GB version, Expert Reviews reports.
“Kingston is pleased to be one of the first manufacturers to offer SDHC UHS-I memory cards to our customers. As the devices that support SDHC UHS-I become prevalent; our UltimateXX cards are at the ready,” the company said in a statement.
