Dell hybrid tablet-laptop comes to Three

Mobile phone network Three has unveiled it will be carrying the Dell Inspiron Duo, which will now be joining a range of non-phones that include the iPad and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Three has announced it’s to carry the new Dell device on their ‘Coming Soon’ web page, which made public only last week Three will soon be carrying the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Linx Commtiva N700.

Dell’s Inspiron Duo has a flip-hinge design for the screen, which allows the device to be used as both a tablet and also a laptop – when the display is docked.

The hybrid laptop-tablet will have 3G access and is accompanied by a 10.1-inch screen, with an Intel Atom N550 Dual Core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 320GB of internal storage where the platform of choice is Windows 7 Home Premium.

Three currently offer a range of laptops, which start at the Samsung N145 for £18.08 a month with pay as you go Internet access to the Samsung R540 for £41.52 per month; with a 15GB data allowance.

There’s been no news from Three as to the cost of the Dell Inspiron Duo, or the likely tariff price and data allowance but One Mobile Ring will publish those details within due course.
