The Deutsche Bank Equity Research report has revealed that a two-month company trial of Apple's iPhone was an "overwhelmingly positive" experience.
Deutsche Bank had tested Apple's iPhone using Good Technology's secure e-mail app, and, despite minor issues, found the experience superior to using RIM's BlackBerry devices.
As a part of its two month trial, the firm used Good Technology's secure e-mail app running along side Microsoft Exchange Server to allow it to send enterprise e-mail and calendar data to users with AES 192 encryption. This also allowed users to simultaneously maintain a separate corporate account and a private e-mail and calender account on their iPhone.
The report, which was compiled by Deutsche Bank's research analyst Chris Whitmore, said: “We found enterprise e-mail on iPhone was a fantastic experience as it was easier/faster to access data (touch UI) than on the Blackberry. It was also great to only have to carry one device for personal and corporate e-mail access.”
