Three gets the Samsung Galaxy Ace

Mobile phone network Three has unveiled it will be carrying the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Ace, on their £25 a month One Plan.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace is said to be the replacement to the Galaxy Portal, which appeared on Three during the early part of 2010.

Samsung’s Ace arrives with a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen, running from a 800Mhz processor, a 5 megapixal camera with flash and the Android ‘Foryo’ 2.2.1 updated operating system.

The Portal only came with a 3.2-inch screen, although it supported a similar 800Mhz CPU, with a less advanced 3 MP camera and the much older Android ‘Donut’ 1.5 OS.

The Samsung Ace will be appearing on Three’s One Plan, which is accompanied by 2,000 minutes, a further 5,000 minutes to any Three based mobile phone numbers, a 5,000 text message bundle and a truly unlimited data allowance.

There’s no final confirmed date as to when the Galaxy Ace will be arriving with Three, although rumor has it that it could tip up as early as the third week of February.
