LG has sent out an invite for a press conference to be held on Monday 14th of February at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, where it may announce a new handset.
The invite, which can be seen over at Fonearena, shows a handset that resembles the LG Optimus 2X and reads "Into the New Dimension and says Experience the new world that LG is opening".
Furthermore, at least one news outlet reckons that the US version of the LG Optimus 3D, called the LG revolution, could be released by Sprint during an event on the 7th February, one week before it may be released here.
Illusionist David Blane is set to be present, as is Sprint CEO Dan Hesse, to show an "industry first" and to make the impossible, possible.
The phone, which is described as a glasses-free 3D handset, would have the same Nvidia Tegra 2 processor as the Optimus 2X, an 8-megapixel camera with flash, front camera, 1080p movie recording and more.
It is likely that the LG Optimus 3D would be pitched at a higher selling price than the LG Optimus 2X, which will cost as little as £30.65 per month from Vodafone.
