Apple has released the third beta iteration of its next generation iOS, version 4.3, to developers, set to be rolled out in the forthcoming months on the iPhone, the iPod Touch and the iPad.
The main features of the new beta - the third in three weeks - still include AirPlay support for third party apps, full screen iAd banners, a software toggle to alter the functionality of the iPad’s side switch, four and five finger multitouch gestures as well as mobile hotspot capabilities for the Verizon iPhone.
There's also a new feature that allows users to cancel the downloading of an application, something that could be useful if you find out that the application is too big to download over the air.
Many have pointed to the fact that the new subscription featuresdemoed yesterday by Rupert Murdoch during the launch of the Daily, are conspicuously absent from the new beta.
There will be a separate iOS 4.3 Beta 3 build for the Apple TV 2G coming out. The final version is likely to be launched within weeks as we gear up to the launch of the iPad 2.
