News@5: Apple Preps Enterprise iPad2 Invasion, OFT Investigates eBook Pricing & Duty Calls

Apple has enlisted SCC as its first Apple Authorised Systems Integrator in the UK, paving the way for a more focused sales strategy in the corporate market, especially with the launch of the iPad 2 a few weeks away.

Freeview has announced that sales of its high-definition (HD) enabled TVs and set-top boxes have hit 1.2 million. According to the company, in the nine months since its launch, Freeview HD is now watched in an estimated 642,000 homes around the UK, thanks in part to a surge in sales over the Christmas period.

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has opened an investigation into eBook pricing following a “significant number” of complaints. In a statement, the OFT said it will be looking into “arrangements between certain publishers and retailers for the sale of eBooks” to discern whether or not they breach competition rules.

Epic Games has outed its new PR campaign to drum up interest in the upcoming first person shooter Bulletstorm, set to be released later this month.
