Popular mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse has taken stock of a couple of budget mobiles, the touch screen OT-710 and the Qwerty keyboard based OT-799 – with a cost attached of £29.95 for either.
The Alcatel OT-710 Touch & Play is exclusive to CPW and arrives with a 2.83-inch 240x320 resistive touch screen, along with a 2 megapixel camera that can be used as a webcam when connected to a computer - with a built-in FM transmitter, which can play music to a nearby radio.
The mobile is geared up to be an entry level handset aimed at first time touch display phone buyers, with access to twitter, Facebook and email accounts with an installed Opera Mini web browser.
Alcatel’s Touch and Play black version is accompanied by a black graphite cover and another with a retro white stripe, where the white model phone has a multi-colour polka dot case and also one more with a delicate flower design.
