Search giant Google has rolled out the Google Shopper app for Apple's iPhone, allowing users to conduct product searches and read user reviews before purchasing a particular item on the platform.
The app, which was released for Google's Android platform last year, will let users conduct product searches in three different ways. Users can type the name of the product, click its photo bar code, or simply speak the name of the product they want Google to find.
Google Shopper will provide users with information on the availability of the product both offline and online, and will allow them to compare prices and read user reviews.
In a post on the Google Merchant blog, the company said that the app provides every single piece of information shoppers could need before deciding to buy a product, from local availability to inventory information.
"If you're not sure about making a purchase or are building out a gift list, you can 'star' products for future consideration. You can also share items with friends across your social network to let them know about products you love or great deals you've found," the company explained.
