Motorola Atrix To Launch In UK On July 25th

The Motorola Atrix, one of the most promising handsets that have been released at CES 2011 earlier this year, is set to be launched in the UK on the 25th of July 2011 if online retailer Expansys is to be believed.

The site (opens in new tab) says that a full set of Atrix accessories including the HD and SD multimedia docks and the laptop dock will also be available although their release dates have yet to be unveiled.

According to Expansys, the phone will be released a full four months after the LG Optimus 2X and the Xperia Arc; it is likely to be released after the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the HTC Pyramid as well with the prospect of a faceoff with the iPhone 5 very likely.

The Atrix is slightly bulkier and heavier than your average smartphone but, on the flipside, packs an amazing amount of firepower.

There's a dual core Cortex-A9 Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard memory, a microSDHC memory card, a 4-inch touchscreen with a 960x540 pixel resolution, a 5-megapixel rear camera with a 2-megapixel front facing one and much more. More about our coverage of the Motorola Atrix here.
