HTC added a second Facebook smartphone to its growing line up, one that comes with a dedicated Facebook button and appears to be a slightly souped up version of the Wildfire S.

The other Facebook handset from HTC is the ChaCha whcih is equipped with a proper keyboard and looks like a consumer version of a RIM Blackberry.

Both the Wildfire S and the Salsa come with a HVGA resolution with the Salsa sporting a 3.4-inch screen rather than a 3.2-inch one.

The rest of the specification sheet is almost similar for both handsets; same CPU used, same operating system, identical amount of RAM and ROM, five megapixel camera with flash and AF.

There are a few additional features for the Salsa which indicates that HTC will pitch it as the missing smartphone between the Wildfire S and the Desire S; Its battery is bigger than the Wildfire S at 1520mAh and it has a front facing camera.

No UK mobile network operators have announced the Salsa; 3 UK is the only one to have indicated that most of the new HTC phones will be coming to its customers soon.
