The first believable picture of what could be the iPad 2 has appeared on the Internet.
The often reliable Boy Genius Report has posted a single snap of the back panel of what purports to be the Second Coming of the Holy Tablet of Cupertino, complete with a rear-facing camera, a bigger speaker grille and convincingly Apple-ish typography, unlike some of the old cobblers which has been bandied about in the near past.
Apple is expected to announce the iPad 2 at a special event being held in San Francisco this Wednesday. The next iteration is widely predicted to feature two cameras, a smaller bezel and lighter frame (although the latest snap seems to suggest that the carbon-fibre casing rumour was exactly that, unless they chose to paint it silver, which is unlikely).
There's also a chance that Apple will announce a new version of its mobile operating system, iOS 5, which will unify the features of iPad and iPhone version for the first time.
The only thing we know for certain is that nothing is certain until Steve Jobs (or possibly Phil Schiller or Time 'Captain' Cook if Steve is feeling poorly) takes to the stage of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Wednesday.
We'll be live blogging the event so head on back to Thinq for all the details as they happen.
