Amazon Germany has published for a few hours what looks to be the the listing of the iPad 2 complete with pricing, specification and release date.
According to tech website, yourdailyapple, the device will come with a 9.7-inch screen, a 1.2GHz processor, Wi-Fi, a Thunderbolt interface, a camera and Bluetooth.
The model listed also featured 3G and 16GB onboard memory with a delivery date scheduled for the 17th of March with a list price of 499 Euros, which incidentally is one Euro more expensive than the 16GB non Wi-Fi version on the retailer's website.
That may well mean that Apple will kill Wi-Fi only models which would be a huge surprise and something that may stun competitors. An early availability will also pile pressure on rivals to deliver their tablets as soon as possible in order not to lose marketshare to the iPad and the iPad 2.
As expected the Amazon link has been killed and even the Google cache copy has been cleaned. Is the Amazon leak likely to be genuine? Yes.
