Apple iTunes gets 10.2 update

Apple has pushed an update to its iTunes media wrangling software in advance of next Friday's release of iOS 4.3.

Available now through Software Update or direct from Apple, the point release fills in the usual security holes but also adds the ability to Sync iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches once the updated OS is out in the wild on March 11th.

We gave you all the details of the new iOS 4.3 release earlier today.

Unlike much Apple software, the latest version of iTunes still works with OSX 10.5 and PowerPC legacy CPUs going right back to the G4, but HD video playback will require a snappier Intel processor.

There's also a version for Windows.
