Apple has topped the Forbes Magazine list of the world's most admired companies for the fourth straight year.
Despite worries that the company would start to suffer without its iconic front man Steve Jobs, who is taking some time at home to recover from a recent liver transplant, Apple has continued to set the bar for tech companies throughout the world.
Jobs even dragged himself out of his sick bed to launch the second generation of the iPad, a device which has changes the way we all think about computers and has left the rest of the industry struggling in its wake.
In terms of pure financial grunt, Apple is now the biggest and richest tech company on the planet beating Microsoft into an ignominious second place.
The maker of reassuringly expensive, beautifully-designed and irritatingly compelling gadgets has doubled its profits over the last year.
