VMware has delivered a set of new products and services that are designed to help customers manage cloud and virtual environments based on its platform.
The vCenter Operations will offer products and solutions that will allow VMware customers to manage the performance, capacity and configuration of virtualization products offered by the company.
The company said that vCenter Operations will come heavily integrated with VMware vSphere and will complement its infrastructure management functionality and collect data related to physical components like servers, storage and network.
The data will be then analysed and presented in a simple, dashboard like interface to let IT managers take decisions in order to ensure high service levels in cloud environments, find solutions to problems much faster and maintain compliance.
Ramin Sayar, vice president of product strategy for enterprise management at VMware, said in a statement, “We believe VMware vCenter Operations will help our customers modernize their operations and take the next step in the journey toward a more simplified, agile approach to IT.”
The platform will be available in three versions, standard, advanced and enterprise. The standard version will be available in late first quarter and will be priced at $50 per virtual machine.
