White Apple iPhone 4 Still On Track According To Analyst

Those looking for the white version of the iPhone 4 may still get it sometime next month according to one analyst who also added that Apple's partners will start production of the device this month.

Concord Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told AppleInsider (opens in new tab) that only the GSM version of the item will be available initially while its CDMA version has yet to be confirmed.

Kuo added that the film lamination had to be altered to solve the full lamination problem that caused the white iPhone 4 to be delayed by more than nine month.

If Kuo is indeed right, it would mean that Apple will sell the iPhone 4 - perhaps with a lower capacity - in both colours after the release of the iPhone 5 which is scheduled to happen early June 2011.

The iPad 2, which apparently uses the same white paint mixture, will be available in both colours at launch on the 11th of March. The same is expected from the iPhone 5.

The white iPhone 4 has been delayed a number of times and Apple has been forced to publicly acknowledge that there were indeed manufacturing issues.

Back in October 2010, the company issued a statement saying that the white iPhone 4 won't go on sale until Spring although this didn't prevent entrepreneurs from coming up with conversion kits.
