Google has released a new version of its search app for Apple's iOS devices with some new bells and whistles.
Version 0.8.0.6023, which is compatible with all Apple mobile gadgets capable of running iOS 3.0 and later, adds a new user interface with fast app-switching support.
Swiping right brings up a new tool bar containing buttons to make searches more specific, filtering places, images, news, shopping, videos, updates, blogs and discussions.
Swiping down allows users to log in using a Google account which syncs search history and access to Google Apps has been better integrated.
The whole user interface has been given a lick of paint with new icons and a curvier look, there's a flashy new help screen and Google Goggles support has been added for iPod Touch and the iPhone 3G.
It's free and available now from iTunes or the App Store on your iOS device.
