A leaked document obtained by Precentral lists a number of tablets that will apparently be released by a major US retailer over the next six months and include a number of very interesting, albeit unconfirmed and unannounced, products.
The document lists the 7-inch Acer Iconia A100 as the cheapest tablet around at $399, $50 less than the 7-inch Dell Streak 7.
There are a few surprises as well like the a 7-inch WebOS Touchpad (Opal) to be launched in September; its bigger 10-inch brother though will reach the US in June for $499 for the 16GB version and $599 for the 32GB model.
Other tablets to be launched include a 10-inch HTC tablet (yet to be announced), 10-inch Dell Streak Tablet, the 10-inch Toshiba Tablet device as well as the RIM Blackberry tablet; all of them come with Honeycomb and all are expected to be on the market for under $500 and in June 2011.
Interestingly, the sheet doesn't mention any of the six iPad 2 stock keeping units or any 8.9-inch tablet like the LG Optimus Tab. We know that the Acer 7-inch tablet will be launched in the UK on the 15th of April if HMV is to be believed although the OS differs (Gingerbread in the US, Honeycomb in the UK).
