Google has brought out an updated version of its Google Mobile App for iPhone which comes with a new name and an enhanced user interface.
The company said in a blog post that the new Google Search app for iPhone comes with new features to narrow down search results and access other Google apps on the device.
Google has added a new tool bar, which when accessed by swiping left to right, will present users with categories that will help them narrow down their search results under images, videos, blogs, news and shopping.
The search engine giant said that users will be able to resume searching the web from where they were when they closed the app when they access it again. Google has also provided a microphone icon for conducting voice searches and a camera icon to access Google Goggles.
“There are a number of improvements we’ve made to everything else you love in the app, including Google Goggles, Voice Search, Search with My Location, Gmail unread counts and more,” the company said.
To let people know about the additional changes, Google has included a new help feature on the app that can be accessed by tapping the question mark above the Google logo.
The Google Search app is available now for free from the iTunes App Store.
