The Motorola Atrix may go on sale in the UK just as Apple launches the iPhone 5; T-Mobile has updated its "coming soon" page and said that the phone will be available in June 2011.
That's a few weeks earlier than what we had previously heard and would put it on collision course with the iPhone 5 which, we believe, will be launched on the 6th of June; Expansys originally said that they would sell the Motorola Atrix starting from the 25th of July and may cost as little as £475.
The Atrix packs a dual core Cortex-A9 Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard memory (expandable to 48GB), a 4-inch 960x540 pixel capacitive touchscreen display, a 5-megapxiel rear camera with a 2-megapixel front facing one, Wi-Fi, 3G, an array of accessories (including that laptop dock) and the biggest battery on the market (in terms of capacity).
Other devices that T-Mobile is going to add to its portfolio over the next few months include the iPad 2 (from the 25th of March), the LG Optimus Black, the Samsung Galaxy Ace (both coming in March) as well as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and the HTC Desire S (both in April).
Surprisingly, the list doesn't include any tablets announced at the Mobile World Congress (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10 or the HTC Flyer) or any other dual core Smartphone (LG Optimus 3D, LG Optimus 2X or the Samsung Galaxy S II.
