HTC is likely to add a new colour to the Incredible S, which is only available in black exclusively vrom Carphone Warehouse, but unfortunately, that's bright red rather than glossy white.
The red version of the HTC Incredible S emerged on a Danish website a couple of days ago and apart from the colour change, the rest of the specification doesn't seem to have changed a lot.
You still get those two LED flashes at the back and that eight megapixel camera. Apart from the upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon system on chip which is clocked at 1Ghz and the screen size, there's nothing much to differentiate it from the HTC Desire (or the Desire HD).
You get a 4-inch WVGA Super LCD display, 768MB RAM, 1.1GB ROM, a microSD card reader, Android 2.2., A-GPS, Wi-Fi, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, a slightly bigger battery, DLNA compatibility, and a thinner chassis thanks to a new contoured body design.
Carphone Warehouse sells the HTC Incredible S SIM free for a whopping £500, which is roughly twice what you'd pay for the one year old HTC Desire.
At least the packages are slightly more affordable; The Incredible S can be had for £25 per month on a two year contract at Vodafone with 300 minutes, unlimited texts but no data allowance for £600, which is just £100 more than the SIM free version itself; It will also be available on O2 and Orange as well.
