Carphone Warehouse to sell Royal Wedding mobile phone

Mobile phone seller Carphone Warehouse is solely to retail a handset celebrating the upcoming wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The special edition Royal Wedding phone comes to CPW with the flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland designed case, along with a ‘God Save The Queen’ ring tone.

The collector’s one-off mobile also arrives with a screen saver of the happy couple, in a commemorative box that symbolises the wedding at the end of April.

On the rear of the royal wedding handset is an inscription of Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s initials joined together, along with the date of their nuptials.

Behind the keepsake is the Alcatel OT 209, with a 1.45-inch screen in a candy-bar design and the ability to fake an incoming call – in this budget-orientated mobile phone.

CPW once famously offered the handset for 99p, where at a later date they reduced the cost to just 1p.

Carphone warehouse is selling the time-limited Royal wedding handset on pay as you go contracts starting from £14.95, on Orange and Virgin with a ten pound top-up fee attached.
