A quick look on the official Motorola Store for accessories for the Atrix smartphone shows that the overwhelming portion of accessories are set to launch on or before the 13th of April 2011.
The listing, which you can see here, raises the question as to why Motorola would launch accessories for the phone if it wasn't going to launch the handset itself within days.
The latest update we had on the Atrix was a launch page from T-Mobile which says that the smartphone would be launched in June 2011, which is roughly two months after the accessories would appear in the retail channel.
It doesn't really make sense to release accessories for an item only to sell the said item nine weeks later, does it? Apart from Motorola, a number of other notable online retailers like Expansys, Clove and Amazon will sell accessories for the Atrix within the next 14 days.
Amongst the accessories on offer are a HD multimedia dock, a HDMI cable, a laptop dock, a multimedia dock, a travel charger, a vehicle dock, a wireless keyboard and mouse as well as a car charger.
The Motorola Atrix was the second dual core handset to be unveiled at CES in Las Vegas. It has an Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset, 1GB RAM, a 4-inch display with a screen resolution of 960x540 pixels, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera and the biggest battery on the market.
