(ed : Comet as well will be selling the iPad 2 as confirmed here.)
We've have identified eight online retailers who have confirmed that they will be selling the Apple iPad 2 tablet in the UK; as expected all of them carry the same identical copy from Apple which says that the tablet will be launched on the 25th of March, this Friday.
This should, in theory mean that you will be able to ORDER the tablet from them on that date, but it is unlikely that you will receive it on the day itself. Most promise to get in touch with their customers as soon as stocks are in.
Carphone Warehouse, Argos, John Lewis, Best Buy as well as Currys will almost certainly have stock available for collection at launch. Note that neither PC World nor Dixons have put up iPad 2 registration pages yet.
Amongst online retailers, Misco, Expansys and Amazon have reiterated their support for the iPad 2. Other notable names missing out are Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Ebuyer, Dabs as well as Play.com and Viking Direct.
Apple has already confirmed that the iPad 2 will be launched on Friday 25 despite fears that poor stock management might cause allocation chaos in the first few weeks.
