Mobile phone networks Orange and T-Mobile that make up Everything Everywhere has announced their take on the Apple iPad 2 tablet, starting from £199 with a 2GB data allowance.
Apple’s iPad 2 has the same 9.7-inch screen, in a new case design with a 33-percent thinner chassis, a new CPU and imagery option and two cameras – one with HD abilities and the second with VGA.
Apple’s iPad 2 now has an A5 processor, with a dual-core CPU that delivers twice the processing power of the first device along with nine times the graphical performance and the same 10 hour battery life.
Orange’s iPad 2 offering comes in at £199, £249, £349 for the 16, 32 and 64GB WIFI + 3G devices for existing orange customers. New Orange customers have the Apple tablet costs set at £229, £279 and £379 and for the same capacities as before.
The contract prices are the same of both new and existing Orange users, at £25 a month with an accompanying a 1GB data allowance and a second 1GB for use between midnight and 4am and unlimited BT Openzone access.
T-Mobile has the Apple tablet at same costs for the 16 and 32GB Orange versions, where they aren’t carrying the 64GB model. T-Mobile’s tariffs are priced up the same way too, with the same data allowances only their second 1GB can be used from midnight to 10am and there’s no BT Openzone access.
