Steve Jobs First Authorised Biography Arriving In 2012

Apple enthusiasts will be delighted to learn that the first authorised biography of Apple CEO Steve Jobs will be launched early next year.

According to an article on ABC News, Steve Jobs has agreed to participate in a biography being written by former Time magazine and CNN executive Walter Isaacson.

Isaacson has previously written best selling biographies on Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein. Isaacson has reportedly been working on the biography, titled 'iSteve: The Book of Jobs' since 2009, and has interviewed Apple employees, Jobs' family members, business rivals as well as, most importantly, the man himself.

The biography will be launched at the beginning of 2012 by publisher Simon & Schuster. A lot of unauthorised biographies have been written on Jobs before, including 'iCon: Steve Jobs, The Greatest Second Act in the History of Business', which received significant disapproval from the company.

“This is the perfect match of subject and author, and it is certain to be a landmark book about one of the world's greatest innovators. Just as he did with Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, Walter Isaacson is telling a unique story of a revolutionary genius,” Jonathan Karp, publisher of Simon & Schuster, said in a statement.
