Vodafone takes stock of the HTC Desire S

Mobile phone network Vodafone has announced it’s now selling the HTC Desire S mobile phone, on a £30 a month contract.

Vodafone unveiled this news over Twitter from their @vodafoneuk account, in a tweet that reads – ‘Read all about the HTC Desire S? Pick up the latest #android cracker from today, free on £30 price plans’.

HTC’s Desire S arrives with a 3.7-inch 480x800 touch screen, with Qualcomm’s new 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, 1GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera and running from Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 with the HTC Sense overlay.

Vodafone is carrying the sequel to the High Tech Computer Corporation’s Desire mobile from last year, on a 24-month price plan with 600 minutes, an unlimited text message bundle and a 500MB data allowance - on an on-line only £30 tariff offer.

The handset is around on a lower price tag from Big Red for £25 a month, with 100 minutes, a 500 text message and 500MB data allowance; the mobile costs £99.

O2 also has the Desire S, on just £24 a month with 100 minutes and an unlimited text message allowance – which is the lowest cost of all the mobile phone networks, to date.
