Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 will get key security and stability enhancements along with Alt Text authoring ability. Excel for Mac 2011 will be updated with ability to install Solver analysis tools in Excel. The spreadsheet application will also get improved save functionality and conditional formatting ability.
Microsoft PowerPoint for Mac 2011 will also get improved password protect functionality, print preview and rehearse mode.
The Outlook for Mac 2011 application will get the most requested calendar syncing functionality with Apple’s Sync services.
“This will let you sync your Outlook calendar as well as contacts, notes and tasks with any service or device that supports Sync Services, including your iPhone and iPad. This has been one of our top feature requests – hopefully this is good news to many of you,” Microsoft explained in a blog post.
