Mobile phone network Three has made public it will be carrying the recently announced Nokia X7, when the phone arrives in the next few months.
Nokia’s X7 is being touted as an entertainment phone and will be one of the first Finnish devices to arrive with the updated code-named Symbian Anna OS, which brings with it new icons, improved text input, faster browser and updated Ovi maps.
The Nokia X7 falls into their X series of entertainment focussed handsets, whilst taking design similarities from the N8 and the E7 with its large screen. Nokia’s X7 has the same 4-inch 16:9 nHD 640x360 AMOLED capacitive touch screen as the E7 phone, only without the ClearBlack display for improved outdoor visibility.
There’s also an 8 megapixel camera on-board, with a 16GB microSD card with Three – whereas the flagship Nokia N8 has a 12MP variant and 16GB internally. The X7 comes preloaded a series of games, such as the Galaxy on Fire HD and Asphalt 5 HD games.
Three currently stocks the Nokia N8 mobile on their ‘One Plan’ contract for £35 a month, which is accompanied by 2,000 minutes, a 5,000 text message bundle with a truly unlimited data allowance. One Mobile Ring believes Three will be carrying the X7 on the same or similar tariff, with the exact same benefits attached.
