Mobile Phone network Three has unveiled that it will also be carrying the dual-core processor Android HTC Sensation mobile phone, when the handset ships this summertime.
The HTC Sensation arrives with a premium design, with rounded edges and an aluminium unibody construction with the world’s first contoured screen on a mobile phone.
Vodafone jointly launched the handset where the HTC Sensation was believed to be exclusive to the network, where Three will now get the handset sometime afterwards.
HTC’s Sensation has a gorilla glass 4.3-inch qHD 540x960 touch SLCD screen, whilst being powered by the new Qualcomm MSM 8260 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU. On-board is 1GB of internal storage, a dual flash LED 8 megapixel camera that is capable of 1080p HD video recording, whilst running from Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 with the new HTC Sense 3.0.
The Sense overlay to Android has been updated, to now allow for a customisable lock-screen, where apps can still run when the handset is in a dormant state. This active lock-screen can now display social networking updates or provide access to the most frequently used applications, all by simply turning on the screen.
Three currently has the HTC Desire HD on their One Plan tariff for £35 a month, with 2,000 minutes, a 5,000 text message allowance and a no-limits whatsoever data allowance. One Mobile Ring believes the same contract will accompany the HTC Sensation, when the phone tips up.
