Mobile phone network Three has announced it is due to receive the white version of the iPhone 4, by opening up the ordering of that very colour of the Apple handset on its own website.
The white version of the Apple iPhone 4 has never officially shipped, even though it was due to arrive soon after the standard black Apple device arrived at the end of June in the UK, last year.
Apple’s last word on the much delayed white version of the iPhone 4 happened back in July 2010, with a statement to the press that reads: 'White models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected' - that colour of mobile phone never actually appeared.
There has been much rumour and speculation of late surrounding the white model of the iPhone arriving, where this latest news confirms the existence that the handset is finally shipping.
Three has the delivery of the 16 and 32GB white versions of the iPhone 4 on a contract from April 20th, with the lowest tariff costing £25 and the handset £299 or free for £43 a month.
