The Samsung Galaxy S2 is now available on preorder from mobile phone retailer Phones4U and will be exclusively available on Orange. The retailer has also confirmed that the delivery date for online orders is the 27th of April, four days before it goes on sale.
The device, which can be found here, was launched two months ago in Barcelona and is the thinnest smartphone currently on the market.
It has a 4.27-inch Super AMOLED plus capacitive screen, a dual core Samsung Exynos 4210 system on chip clocked at 1GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard memory, a 2-megapixel front facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear one with LED flash.
It is one of the two phones on the market that can record footage at full 1080p, the other being the LG Optimus 2X.
Apart from the fact that it runs Android Gingerbread, it also has Wi-Fi and a microSD card reader. Phones4U will also be giving out free 8GB memory cards to those who purchase the phone before the 27th of April.
A spokesperson for Phones4u said, "We're really proud to be the first retailer to offer the Samsung Galaxy S2 to our customers. The original Samsung Galaxy S was hugely popular when it launched last year, and we're confident the Galaxy S II will be just as successful as its predecessor."
The best deal for the phone appears to be the Orange Dolphin 40 which includes 1200 minutes, 3000 texts, 500MB data allowance and unlimited Wi-Fi for £35 with an upfront cost of £10.
