High-performance computing-solutions provider Amax has released a new private cloud computing platform designed specifically for small and medium sized businesses.
The CloudMax private cloud platform is a mix of hardware and software solutions designed for SMBs to deploy their own IT cloud infrastructure.
The low-cost, ready-to-deploy solution comes with cloud management automation features, unified threat management and advanced platform engineering.
The x86-architecture based cloud appliance integrates hardware, software, networking, virtualisation and storage tools to offer a complete private cloud package.
“CloudMax is designed to be a complete working cloud platform right out of the box that's easy to manage, allowing enterprises to focus on delivering their core business value rather than on building IT infrastructures.” Jean Shih, President at Amax, said in a statement reported in the Computer Technology Review (opens in new tab).
“We are empowering organizations to improve their IT responsiveness and increase computing utilization -- one cloud at a time,” she added.
Amax has previously focused on creating HPC clusters and manufacturing servers for service providers. The company’s HPC clients include Argonne National Lab, CalTech, the Department of Defense and Stanford University.
The appliance is available from $65,000 and will be demoed during the Interop Convention held at Mandalay Bay, May 10 -12.
